Equipment Specialists of Dayton has been growing since a concrete truck literally crashed its business.

The Dayton-based company, an industrial pressure washing company, has seen business pick up at its Webster Street storefront since opening in September. An independently owned expansion of London, Ohio-based Equipment Specialists Inc., the company is looking to add staff as it attracts more lucrative $50,000 to $60,000 industrial contracts.

"Dayton doesn't have a business like this for pressure washers in manufacturing and service industries," said partner Teresa Hart, who runs the company with managing partner Steve Hart.

The company employs three now and could expand to seven as it grows the business to the scale of its London counterpart.

This a transformation after the company, formerly GrimeBusters, saw a major setback after its pressure washer vehicle was hit by a cement truck, forcing it to make a whole new business model and focus on supplying a wider range of pressure washer services across a 13-county western Ohio area.

Now it has clients including Milton Union Schools, Wren Industries, Spinnaker Industries, 4Over, Heidelberg, Fryman-Kuck, Butler Asphalt.
